Gress Maharjan Wins the Title of “First Mr. Mahanagar Body Building Championship”

Kathmandu – In a remarkable showcase of strength, personality, and stage presence, Gress Maharjan has been crowned the First “Mr. Metropolitan 2082” at the Mahanagar Bodybuilding Competition held in Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ward No. 22. This event marked the first-ever mayor-level male fitness and personality contest in the region.

Gress impressed the jury and audience alike with his well-defined physique, attire, and confident stage presentation, earning him the prestigious title.

The event organizers and coaching panel highly praised Gress’s performance. His victory has also been widely appreciated across social media and mainstream media platforms, bringing positive attention to the male fitness community in Nepal.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who handed over a trophy and a cash prize of NPR 500,000 to the winner.

In the 75+ kg category, Gress Maharjan also secured a gold medal, further establishing his dominance in the competition. As a certified personal trainer, Grish has been actively providing fitness coaching and nutritional guidance to individuals for several years.

Following his victory, Gress  expressed his desire to establish a modern fitness center and launch health awareness programs with support from public resources. He aims to make physical wellness more accessible and community-focused.

Motivated by the title, Gress plans to expand his career in personal training, focusing on long-term community engagement and empowering others to adopt a healthy lifestyle.

In his own words, he said:“This title is a testament to the hard work and dedication I’ve invested. My goal now is to inspire my community toward a healthier way of life.”

The “Mr. Mahanagar 2082” competition is seen as a breakthrough event that has brought male fitness into the public spotlight for the first time on a metropolitan platform. It is expected to significantly boost confidence and awareness around health and fitness among men in Nepal.
