Financial assistance to sick filmmakers and families of deceased through door-to-door visits from the Development Board’s funds

Kathmandu – The Film Welfare Fund under the Film Development Board has provided financial assistance to the families of sick film workers and film workers who died prematurely. The Film Welfare Fund visited the homes of film workers who have contributed to Nepal’s film industry on Baisakh 19.

Film artist Gokul Subedi received Rs 40,000, film technician Krishna Prasad Timalsina’s family received Rs 50,000, film technician and cinematographer Umesh Shrestha and film director Santosh Dhakal received Rs 100,000, informed Dinesh D.C., Chairman of the Film Development Board.

According to him, the family of deceased film technician Krishna Prasad Timalsina received the expenses of the funeral at their homes. He said, “We also visited the home of film technician and cinematographer Umesh Shrestha and presented them to film director Santosh Dhakal, who is undergoing treatment, at the hospital.” We are very happy to be able to support our colleagues in this field.’ Mohan Niraula, President of the Nepal Film Artists Association, Vasundhara Bhusal, Senior Actress and Patron of the Film Artists Association, and Puskar Lama, President of the Film Technicians Association, were present for the distribution.
